According to a statement published by the military’s public affairs department, a terrorist was killed and two others were injured during an exchange of fire with security forces on Monday in the Spinwam area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s North Waziristan district.
“Own troops effectively engaged the terrorists’ location, and after an intense fire exchange, one terrorist was sent to hell, while two terrorists were injured,” according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
Weapons and ammunition were discovered in the possession of the terrorists, including the murdered militant, who “remained actively involved in terrorist activities against security forces, as well as the killing of innocent citizens.”
“Locals in the area praised the operation and expressed their full support for eradicating the threat of terrorism from the area,” according to the statement.
