Lahore Tragedy: Man Fatally Shot in Alleged Police 'Firing' in Sundar

A man was shot dead during an alleged police encounter in Lahore’s Sundar area on Thursday.

According to law enforcement, the incident occurred during a routine patrol when officers attempted to stop an unidentified man, estimated to be around 52 years old. Instead of complying, the man reportedly opened fire on the police.

In response, officers fired back, injuring the suspect. He was taken to Jinnah Hospital for treatment but later died from his wounds.

Authorities are working to establish the man’s identity and are reviewing records through the Criminal Record Office (CRO) to determine if he had any criminal background.
