Maimoona Reveals Homosxuality More Common in Lahore’s Showbiz Than Karachi

KARACHI – Pakistani actress Maimoona Quddus has made bold claims about the entertainment industry, sparking debate across social media. Speaking in a recent podcast, she discussed sensitive issues, including homosexuality, exploitation, and unethical practices in showbiz.

During the conversation, Maimoona said homosexuality exists in both Karachi and Lahore but is more openly practiced in Lahore. She alleged that gatherings and parties in the city allow such activities to be displayed more publicly. In her view, such matters should remain private and not be showcased in the industry.

The actress further criticized the culture of showbiz in Lahore, calling it full of “dirt” and unethical behavior. She remarked that many individuals in Lahore often boast about wealth and superiority despite not having significant resources.

In contrast, Maimoona highlighted that Karachi offers a more professional environment. She explained that people in Karachi adopt a business-like attitude, even in personal relationships. According to her, romantic relationships in the city are often treated like deals, with clear expectations between both parties.

She also addressed the controversial issue of the casting couch. The actress revealed that exploitation in the industry is not limited to women alone, as men also face similar pressures. She described this as one of the most troubling realities of the entertainment world in Pakistan.

Maimoona’s remarks have drawn mixed reactions, with some agreeing with her concerns while others criticized her for generalizing the entire industry. Her revelations have once again shed light on the challenges faced by actors and actresses behind the scenes.
