The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has temporarily closed several service centers in Punjab due to heavy rains and flooding. The decision was made to protect citizens and staff during the ongoing weather emergency.
According to an official advisory, the affected NADRA centers include Vanike Tarar, Hafizabad, Jalalpur Bhattian, 18 Hazari (Jhang), Ahmad Nagar (Chiniot), Midh Ranjha (Sargodha), Kari Sharif (Gujrat), Kotli Loharan (Sialkot), Syedpur (Sialkot), Khidmat Markaz (Sialkot), and Depalpur (Okara). These facilities will stay closed until further notice.
Citizens from these areas have been advised to visit nearby operational offices for their registration needs. To ease the pressure, mobile registration vans have been deployed in adjoining districts. These vans aim to provide essential services to people facing difficulties in reaching regular centers.
In a separate development, NADRA is launching its Mobile Registration Drive in the United Kingdom to assist overseas Pakistanis. The service will begin on August 30, 2025, and will be available at two locations: Blackburn (Manchester) from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and Sheffield (Bradford) from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
Through the mobile drive, overseas Pakistanis will be able to renew their Computerised National Identity Cards (CNICs), apply for National Identity Cards for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOPs), and obtain Family Registration Certificates (FRCs).
Applicants have been asked to carry their old CNICs or B-Forms for smooth processing. This step ensures that overseas communities can continue accessing vital identity services without interruption.
