Pakistan Marks its 77th Independence Day Celebration

Pakistan is celebrating its 77th Independence Day with great enthusiasm and pride. Festivities began at midnight with fireworks lighting up the skies across the country, symbolizing national joy and unity.

Major cities like Karachi, Lahore, and Peshawar were vibrant with fireworks, and public and private buildings were adorned with colorful lights and the green crescent flag. In Karachi, crowds flocked to the beach, while Lahore’s Minar-e-Pakistan hosted a musical event, and cultural landmarks became focal points of the celebration.

In Abbottabad, the Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) Kakul held a solemn yet spirited Independence Parade, with General Syed Asim Munir as the chief guest. PMA cadets showcased their drill skills in tribute to the nation’s martyrs.

Karachi also hosted a grand event titled “Fard Nahi Qoom Hain Hum” at the Sindh Governor House, featuring festive lights and a 1,000-pound cake. The UAE Consulate in Karachi held a ceremony with awards and certificates, attended by notable figures like Asifa Bhutto Zardari and Faryal Talpur.

In Peshawar, the Governor House celebrated with an Azadi Night Music Ceremony, while smaller towns like Toba Tek Singh marked the occasion with local fireworks displays. The nationwide celebrations highlighted Pakistan’s unity and progress since its independence 77 years ago.
