The Pakistan Navy has successfully carried out an extensive two-day exercise aimed at tackling sub-conventional and asymmetric threats at all major ports and harbours across the country.
The primary objective of the exercise was to assess and enhance existing Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) to ensure the effective protection of vital maritime infrastructure from evolving non-traditional threats. The drill featured joint operations involving Pakistan Navy Fleet units, Pak Marines, Special Service Group (Navy), and Naval Aviation assets.

Designed to replicate a variety of asymmetric challenges such as sabotage, infiltration, and irregular attacks, the scenarios enabled participating forces to improve inter-agency coordination, boost situational awareness, and sharpen rapid response mechanisms.
During the exercise, Commander Coast Rear Admiral Faisal Amin visited several operational sites and observed live demonstrations conducted by the forces. He commended the high levels of preparedness and professionalism displayed by the personnel. Emphasizing the strategic importance of maritime infrastructure, he noted that the secure functioning of ports and harbours plays a critical role in ensuring the country’s economic stability and development.
The Pakistan Navy reaffirmed its dedication to maintaining peak operational readiness and enhancing its capability to defend national maritime interests in the face of emerging threats.
