PTI Announces Nationwide Protests Against Judicial Reforms in Pakistan

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has announced a protest at D-Chowk on October 4. The party leadership in Peshawar confirmed their decision to move forward with the protest, regardless of the situation, during a parliamentary party meeting chaired by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur.

In his address, CM Gandapur acknowledged shortcomings in the planning of their previous protest, which led to its early conclusion.

He pointed out the absence of crucial protective gear, such as masks, for workers and leaders during the tear gas attacks.

This time, Gandapur assured that well-prepared workers and necessary equipment would lead the march to avoid past mistakes. He emphasized that machinery would clear blocked roads ahead of the convoys, ensuring smooth progress to D-Chowk. He also noted that the protest might continue for several days.

The meeting finalized the plan for convoys to depart from Peshawar at 11 AM and from Swabi later in the afternoon on the day of the protest, with CM Gandapur once again leading the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa delegation.
