PTI convoys enter Islamabad amid violent clashes with police

PTI convoys led by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur and Opposition Leader Omar Ayub entered Islamabad, facing heavy resistance from police as they advanced towards D-Chowk. Clashes broke out at Ghazi Brotha Bridge, with intense shelling and violent scuffles. Several police officers were injured, including DSP Zulfiqar, who suffered serious injuries.

In a tragic development, Police Constable Mubashir died from head injuries after PTI protesters allegedly attacked police near Hakla. Meanwhile, the PTI continued pushing for their demands, including the release of Imran Khan and the reversal of the 26th Constitutional Amendment.

The government imposed Section 144 to block the protests but failed to prevent PTI supporters from marching. Despite strict security measures, PTI convoys breached barricades across Punjab, facing violent confrontations with law enforcement.

Internet services were suspended in key areas, and authorities took further measures to ensure order during the protest. As PTI’s leadership and workers rallied in different cities, tensions remained high as both sides stood firm on their positions.
