Punjab Schools to Begin Summer Break Early Amid Rising Heat Concerns

The Punjab government has announced that all public and private schools in the province will start summer vacations from May 28 to protect students from the escalating heatwave. The decision, approved by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, follows consultations with the education department and other authorities.

Until the break begins, schools will follow revised timings of 7:30 am to 11:30 am to reduce exposure to extreme heat. This schedule is already in effect across Punjab as a precautionary measure.
