Sazgar Engineering Works Limited has officially opened pre-bookings for its first Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV), the HAVAL H6 PHEV.
The HAVAL H6 PHEV, a 1.5L AT AWD Turbo model, is expected to be locally assembled (CKD) and available for delivery in August 2025. This marks a significant step forward for the company as it enters the electric vehicle market in Pakistan.
In a recent disclosure to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), Sazgar confirmed plans to expand its PHEV lineup. The company will also introduce two additional models before March 31, 2026: the TANK-500 Hi4-T 4X4 2.0L Turbo AT PHEV, an SUV, and the CANNON ALPHA Hi4-T 4X4 2.0L Turbo AT PHEV, a pickup truck.
Both models will be locally assembled and are expected to strengthen Sazgar’s presence in the hybrid vehicle segment.
Following the announcement, Sazgar’s stock price saw an immediate boost on the PSX. The share price, which was trading at Rs. 1,281.50 at the time of the filing, quickly surged to Rs. 1,317.00. During the trading session, the stock reached a high of Rs. 1,328.80, with a total trading volume of 597,313 shares.
Sazgar Engineering Works, established in 1991 and converted into a public limited company in 1994, is well-known for manufacturing automobiles, auto parts, and household electric appliances.
With the launch of the HAVAL H6 PHEV and future PHEV models, Sazgar aims to position itself as a leader in Pakistan’s hybrid vehicle market. The company’s shift towards eco-friendly technologies is expected to play a crucial role in the nation’s evolving automotive industry.
