PTI leader Sher Afzal Marwat criticized former federal minister Fawad Chaudhary, stating he lacks the right to criticize the current party leadership. Speaking to the media, Marwat recalled Chaudhary’s reaction to police presence at the Islamabad High Court, likening it to an elephant fleeing, which he said brought shame to PTI. Marwat suggested that Chaudhary refrain from offering advice based on this incident.
Responding to Chaudhary’s labeling of the current PTI leadership as failures, Sher Afzal Marwat defended their loyalty to Imran Khan during difficult times, contrasting it with what he perceived as Chaudhary’s lack of commitment.

Chaudhary had criticized PTI’s political strategy and suggested figures like Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Pervaiz Elahi, and Asad Qaiser take leadership roles instead. He called for an end to what he termed “foolish talks” by current PTI leaders.
In reaction to Chaudhary’s remarks, PTI’s core committee unanimously passed a resolution opposing the return of defectors who left the party during challenging periods. PTI chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan stated they would urge the incarcerated party founder to endorse the core committee’s recommendations.
