RDA Issues Notices to Three Illegal Housing Schemes

Under the guidance of Muhammad Saif Anwar Jappa, the Director General of the authority, Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has issued notices to three unauthorized housing schemes. These schemes are located in various areas of Rawalpindi, specifically on Chakri Road, Chak Beli Khan Road, Mouza Sahang on Mandra-Chakwal Road, and Ring Road Town at Mouza Harka, Basali.

The recipients of these notices, namely Saeed Rizvi, Masood Azmat, and Umar Awan, were identified as the owners of the illegal private housing schemes, as informed by an RDA spokesperson. The Metropolitan Planning and Traffic Engineering (MP&TE) Directorate of RDA issued these notices, following the directives of Director General Jappa.

Furthermore, Jappa has instructed the Director of MP&TE to initiate legal actions against unauthorized advertisements and marketing practices associated with these housing schemes. The authorities have been directed to file First Information Reports (FIRs) against the owners of these illegal housing schemes. Sponsors of such projects have also been warned against promoting their unapproved and illegal housing ventures.

The spokesperson emphasized the importance of checking the status of housing schemes on RDA’s official website, www.rda.gop.pk, and discouraged individuals from investing in unauthorized schemes.

In addition, the Planning Wing of RDA has approached the Cyber Crime Wing of FIA to take legal measures against illegal and misleading advertisements related to unapproved housing schemes.
