A wanted terrorist, identified as Faisal, was killed in an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa’s Mardan district. According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Faisal was a high-value target and a terrorist ring leader actively involved in numerous terrorist activities. Law enforcement agencies had been actively pursuing him, and during the operation, he was killed. Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the scene.
In a separate encounter in the general area of Parachinar, Kurram district, Pakistani troops effectively engaged terrorists. However, during this engagement, Lance Naik Ghairat Khan, a 33-year-old resident of Kurram district, fought gallantly but tragically embraced martyrdom.
These operations reflect the determination of Pakistan’s security forces to eliminate the menace of terrorism from the country. The sacrifices made by brave soldiers like Lance Naik Ghairat Khan serve to strengthen this resolve. Additionally, earlier on the same day, security forces thwarted an infiltration attempt by Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) terrorists near the Pak-Afghan border, resulting in the martyrdom of four soldiers and the killing of three TTP militants.
