2025-26 Men's Ashes Schedule Announced, First Match Set for Perth

Cricket Australia has officially announced the dates for the highly anticipated 2025-26 Men’s Ashes series. The five-match series will begin at Perth Stadium from November 21-25, 2025, marking the start of what promises to be an exciting Ashes summer. The schedule was revealed during an event at Scarborough Beach, Perth, with support from the Western Australian Government.

The iconic rivalry will continue with the second Test, a day-night match at the Gabba in Brisbane from December 4-8. This will be followed by the traditional Christmas Test at Adelaide Oval (December 17-21) and the famous Boxing Day Test at Melbourne’s MCG (December 26-30). The series will wrap up with the New Year’s Test at Sydney’s SCG from January 4-8, 2026.

This early announcement is part of Cricket Australia’s seven-year scheduling plan, aimed at providing certainty for fans and enhancing partnerships with governments and tourism departments. By releasing the dates well in advance, the organization hopes to allow international and interstate fans ample time to plan their trips.

Joel Morrison, Cricket Australia’s Executive General Manager for Events and Operations, expressed excitement about the upcoming series, emphasizing the global significance of the Ashes and the strong support from state and territory governments. He also highlighted the anticipation among fans, urging them to register for priority access to tickets.

Western Australia’s Deputy Premier and Minister for Tourism, Rita Saffioti, spoke about the significance of Perth hosting the series opener. She noted the importance of the United Kingdom as a top visitor market for Western Australia, with the direct flight between London and Perth making it easier for English fans to escape their winter and experience the Australian summer. She also encouraged visitors to explore the diverse attractions of Western Australia, including Rottnest Island, the Swan Valley, and Fremantle, as well as the state’s natural landscapes.

The 2025-26 Ashes series is expected to draw fans from around the world, adding to the rich history and excitement of one of cricket’s most iconic sporting events.
