Rashid Khan, a well-known Afghanistan spinner, believes that Pakistan’s all-round captain, Babar Azam, is currently among the top three batters in modern cricket.
Rashid stated in an interview that there is stiff competition between Babar Azam, Indian batting legend Virat Kohli, and New Zealand captain Kane Williamson.
However, the leg-spinner rated the former Indian captain’s cover drive higher than the Lahore-born batter, saying that his cover drive looks and sounds better.
When asked who plays the best sweep shot, the 24-year-old bowler said that no batter in the world plays it better than the legendary Younis Khan.

Rashid Khan went on to say that he learned to perform sweep shots by watching videos of the former Pakistani captain on YouTube.
Former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi praised Babar Azam’s batting skills last week, saying the 28-year-old has the best cover drive in the world.
Babar became the fastest batter to 5,000 ODI runs, surpassing Hashim Amla, and the second-fastest to 12,000 runs in international cricket earlier this month.
The right-handed batter finished the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Super League 2020-2023 as the top run-scorer, with 1,454 runs scored in 21 innings.
