Afghanistan is set to host the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 after initial reluctance to take on the responsibility. Under pressure from the ICC, Afghanistan eventually agreed to host the tournament, marking a significant moment for the country’s cricketing history.

The event’s schedule has been released, with Kabul International Cricket Stadium hosting marquee matches, including the highly anticipated India vs. Pakistan clash on February 24, 2025. In total, eight matches will be played in Kabul, with Jalalabad hosting five, Kandahar five, and Herat three. Both the semi-finals and final are scheduled in Kabul.
