New Zealand secured their place in the Women’s T20 World Cup final after defeating West Indies by 8 runs.
In the second semi-final held at Sharjah Cricket Stadium, New Zealand opted to bat first after winning the toss, putting up 128 runs for 9 wickets in their 20 overs. Georgia Plimmer (33) and Suzie Bates (26) were the standout performers with the bat.

West Indies, in pursuit of 129 runs, fell short with 120 for 8 wickets in their 20 overs. Deandra Dottin top-scored for her team with 33 runs.
Eden Carson led New Zealand’s bowling attack with 3 wickets, while Amelia Kerr contributed with 2 wickets.
New Zealand will face South Africa in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup final, scheduled for October 20 in Dubai.
