Pakistani Football Player Goes Missing in Norway During Street Child Championship

A player from Pakistan’s Street Child Championship team, Amanullah Baloch, has gone missing in Norway. He was set to participate in the international tournament but disappeared before the event officially began.

Amanullah, who plays for the Muslim Hands Club and comes from the Sango Lane area of Lyari, Karachi, was part of the squad representing Pakistan at the Street Child Championship in Oslo. According to team officials, he went missing during a reception ceremony held to welcome the participants.

Witnesses say Amanullah stepped outside while on a phone call and left the venue in a taxi. Since then, he has not returned or contacted the team. The incident has raised concerns both in Norway and back in Pakistan.

The Norwegian police have launched an investigation, and Pakistan’s embassy in Oslo is also involved in tracing the missing player. Team management confirmed that the matter has been handed over to local authorities.

Efforts to contact Amanullah’s family have so far been unsuccessful. Reports suggest that his family has chosen not to comment on the situation at this stage.

The Street Child Championship is an international event that provides a platform for underprivileged children to showcase their football talents. The disappearance of a participant has cast a shadow over the tournament and raised questions about player monitoring during such global events.

This is not the first case of Pakistani athletes disappearing abroad. Just two months ago, two athletes from Punjab reportedly went missing in Germany during the World University Games.

Authorities are now focusing on locating Amanullah and ensuring the safety of the remaining players. Meanwhile, the Street Child Championship continues in Oslo, with hopes that the matter will be resolved soon and without further complications.
