Foreign Players Sign Up as PSL 9 Registration Starts

The registration process for foreign players for the 9th season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) is now underway. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is in the process of finalizing and releasing the category renewals for local players. Following this, the trade and retention window will be opened, and the pick order for the player draft for the upcoming season will be shared.

The finalization of retentions and trades is expected to occur in preparation for the HBL PSL 9 Player Draft, which is tentatively planned for mid-December. This draft will take place following the conclusion of the National T20 tournament.

It’s worth noting that the PCB had confirmed the window for the 2024 edition of the PSL last month. The window for the upcoming season is set between February 8 and March 24, 2024, with the final schedule to be confirmed during the next meeting.

The ninth season of the PSL will feature six teams, and there are no plans to introduce additional teams for the upcoming season.

Cricket enthusiasts in Pakistan eagerly await the next season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) as it brings joy, excitement, and thrilling matches to fans. In PSL history, Islamabad United and Lahore Qalandars are the only teams to have won the tournament twice, with Lahore securing back-to-back titles in both PSL 7 and 8 seasons.
