The NHA Board has approved road construction projects worth Rs. 53 billion

The Executive Board of the National Highway Authority (NHA) has proposed the revised Project Concept-I (PC-I) for the dualization of the existing road from Faisalabad Bypass to Motorway (M-3) via Satiana, amounting to Rs. 7.102 billion, for approval by the Central Development Working Party (CDWP) or the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC).

According to official documents, the NHA Executive Board has also put forward the revised PC-I for the Construction of the Lahore bypass from Kalashah Kaku exit to KLM to Multan road near the radio station, covering approximately 40 kilometers (from KLM (M-3) to Multan road near the radio station 18.5 kilometers), at a cost of Rs. 45.9 billion, for approval by the CDWP/ECNEC.

Furthermore, the Board has recommended that the expenses for the aforementioned project be divided equally between the Federal government and the Government of Punjab, with each contributing 50% of the total cost.
