ISLAMABAD: On Thursday, the Islamabad High Court (IHC) ordered the ministry of foreign affairs to finish sharing documents with Dr. Afia’s attorney.
The petition requesting the release of Dr. Afia from the US prison was heard once more by IHC Justice Sardar Ejaz Ishaq Khan. Before the court were the acting secretary of the ministry of foreign affairs, the director of the US, and the additional secretary of law and justice.

The court was informed by additional attorney general Munawar Iqbal Duggal that the ministry of foreign affairs has a set protocol for exchanging documents with lawyers.
