Currently, the Nubia Flip holds the title of the most affordable foldable phone on the market, priced at just $499, considerably lower than Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip 5, which retails for $1000. However, this record is about to be surpassed by Blackview’s upcoming Hero 10, which is expected to hit the market with a price tag of $425.
Similar to the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and the Nubia Flip, the Blackview Hero 10 will also be a clamshell foldable device. While pricing may vary across different regions, all variations are projected to be cheaper than the Nubia Flip.
Although the Hero 10 won’t be a flagship-grade phone like the Galaxy Z Flip 5, it’s anticipated to offer a mid-range hardware suite. This suggests that foldable phones are inching closer to becoming more accessible to the general public.

In terms of specifications, the Blackview Hero 10 will feature a tall 6.9-inch AMOLED screen with 1080p resolution, albeit limited to a 60Hz refresh rate. Details regarding the secondary screen’s dimensions remain undisclosed, but it appears to be similar in size to the Huawei Pocket 2’s outer screen, measuring 1.15 inches with a resolution of 340 x 340. When unfolded, the device weighs 198g and is 8.8mm thin.
The rear camera setup will include a 108MP primary sensor alongside an 8MP ultrawide camera, while the selfie camera is expected to be a 32MP snapper. Powering the device will be a MediaTek Helio G99 chip paired with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage space. On the software front, the Hero 10 will run on the dated Android 13.
Details regarding the phone’s battery have not been disclosed by Blackview, indicating it may not be a significant cell. More information is expected to be revealed upon the launch of the Blackview Hero 10 next month.
