WhatsApp Set to Introduce Innovative Feature for Channels

WhatsApp, owned by Meta, has introduced a new ‘automatic album’ feature for channels, as announced by the company. According to WaBetaInfo, this feature automatically organizes multiple consecutive images or videos shared in a WhatsApp channel into a unified album.

Currently, this update is available to some beta testers, and the company plans to roll it out to a broader audience in the coming days. The introduction of this feature is part of WhatsApp’s ongoing efforts to enhance user experience and provide more intuitive ways to interact with media content within channels.

“When channel admins share multiple consecutive images or videos in a channel, WhatsApp now automatically organizes them into a unified album, and channel followers can conveniently tap on the automatic album to access the entire collection,” explained a WhatsApp news source.

Previously unavailable for channels, this feature also supports channel reactions for the photos and videos shared in the album. The addition of this feature aims to improve media organization and accessibility for channel followers, allowing users to easily tap on the automatic album to browse through the entire collection.
