Border skirmishes test Lebanon ceasefire

Hezbollah claimed an attack on an Israeli position on Monday, marking its first action since the fragile ceasefire in Lebanon began last week. Israel responded with strikes on what it called “terror” targets, amid accusations of ceasefire violations from both sides.

Lebanon accused Israel of violating the truce, while Israel maintained that its strikes were in response to Hezbollah’s actions. The ceasefire, aimed at ending the deadly conflict, has largely halted fighting but remains fragile.
