A fire at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York has injured nine people and caused major disruptions to flight schedules.
According to American media sources, the fire started in an escalator, producing thick smoke that impacted numerous passengers. The incident caused panic, leading to a stampede that resulted in nine injuries. Four of the injured were hospitalized and are reported to be in stable condition.
