Preliminary reports claim Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has been diagnosed with grade 3 prostate cancer, according to the Middle East Spectator. Netanyahu’s office, however, states that he will undergo prostate surgery following a urinary tract infection caused by a benign enlarged prostate.

Netanyahu, leader of the Likud Party, has served as prime minister since 2022 and has previously held the role for over a decade. He is currently under international scrutiny for his role in the Gaza conflict, which has resulted in nearly 46,000 deaths, primarily women and children, since October 7, 2023.
