US President Donald Trump has expressed optimism about a possible agreement with Iran. He said recent discussions have shown progress and a deal now appears more likely.
Speaking to journalists, Trump claimed Iran has agreed to several conditions. He stated that Tehran has agreed not to pursue nuclear weapons under the proposed framework.
He also suggested that media reports about strict deadlines are flexible. According to him, there is no fixed timeline for reaching a final agreement.
Trump indicated that a successful deal could lead to a quick end of ongoing tensions. He said US military actions would stop if Iran accepts the proposed terms.
He further explained that the โEpic Furyโ operation would be halted under an agreement. He also said the Strait of Hormuz would be reopened for all countries, including Iran.
However, Trump warned that failure to reach a deal could escalate the situation. He said bombing operations could resume if negotiations collapse, possibly with stronger intensity.
The US President stressed that diplomatic progress has been made in the last 24 hours. He suggested that a quick end to the conflict is still possible if both sides agree.
On the other side, Iranian officials have responded cautiously. Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baqaei said Iran is reviewing US proposals carefully. He emphasized that real negotiations must be based on respect, not pressure.
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian also issued a strong statement. He said Iran will not accept threats and will not bow to external pressure.
He added that Iran remains committed to its principles and national sovereignty. He also criticized global tensions and increasing instability in the region.
Meanwhile, China has also taken a strong diplomatic stance. Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi condemned military actions and called for an immediate ceasefire.
Beijing urged all sides to return to negotiations and reduce tensions. Iran welcomed Chinaโs position and signaled continued cooperation.
As diplomatic efforts continue, global leaders are watching closely. The possibility of a quick end to the conflict now depends on ongoing negotiations between the United States and Iran.
