Bollywood superstars Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan made a surprise appearance at the VIP opening of Abu Dhabi’s museum, the Natural History Museum, on November 22. The actors joined UAE officials to welcome the public and explore the state-of-the-art facility.
The event was attended by Crown Prince Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed Al Nahyan and Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed. The stars took an exclusive guided tour of the 35,000-square-metre museum, which showcases the history of Earth, with a focus on the Arabian region.
Highlights of Abu Dhabi’s museum include the 11.7-metre fossilized โStanโ T. rex, a 7-billion-year-old meteorite, and a reconstruction of Abu Dhabi from seven million years ago. Visitors were thrilled by the unexpected presence of the Khans and captured selfies as the actors admired the exhibits.
Salman Khan is currently in the UAE for his Dabangg Tour, while Shah Rukh Khan attended the VIP inauguration. Both stars showed visible awe at the towering dinosaur skeleton and the ancient meteorite, pausing at major displays throughout the museum.
This visit adds to the longstanding camaraderie between the two actors, who were recently seen together at a Delhi wedding, the Joy Forum in Riyadh, and in friendly cameos in Pathaan and Tiger 3. Their strong bond continues to delight fans both on and off-screen.
Looking ahead, both stars have major projects lined up for 2026. Salman Khan has completed Apoorva Lakhiaโs war drama Battle of Galwan, while Shah Rukh Khan will star in Siddharth Anandโs multi-starrer King, which also features his daughter Suhana Khan.
The VIP opening and surprise visit by the Bollywood icons highlighted the cultural significance of Abu Dhabi’s museum and underscored its role as a landmark for history enthusiasts and tourists in the UAE.
