LAHORE – The release of popular YouTuber Ducky Bhai from Lahore’s Camp Jail has been delayed, despite the Lahore High Court granting him bail. Officials said the delay occurred because the necessary release orders, also called “robkar,” could not be issued before the end of the judicial workday.
According to Ducky Bhai’s lawyer, the release order is expected to be issued today, after which the YouTuber’s release will be processed. The lawyer assured that all legal formalities will be completed promptly.
The Lahore High Court had earlier approved Ducky Bhai’s bail in a case concerning the promotion of gambling apps. The court required him to submit a surety bond of Rs 1 million. Justice Shahram Sarwar, who presided over the bail hearing, stated that the charges against the YouTuber lacked merit.
The lawyer argued that the allegations mentioned in the First Information Report (FIR) were unfounded. He added that Ducky Bhai’s defense was strong, as his co-accused in the case had already been granted bail.
Another key point raised during the hearing was a case previously filed by Ducky Bhai’s wife against FIA officials. She had accused them of demanding bribes, which the lawyer highlighted as part of their defense strategy.
Officials clarified that the bail approval does not mean immediate release, as procedural requirements must be completed first. Once the release order is issued, Ducky Bhai is expected to leave Camp Jail without further delay.
The YouTuber has a large online following, and his detention attracted significant attention on social media. Many supporters called for his immediate release, emphasizing that the allegations against him were exaggerated.
