Pakistani YouTuber Ducky Bhai, whose real name is Saad-ur-Rehman, is reportedly facing mental health challenges following his time in jail. Fellow creator Iqra Kanwal shared updates on his condition, highlighting the need for privacy and family support during his recovery.
In a recent vlog, Iqra Kanwal and her husband, Areeb Pervez, addressed viewers’ questions about why they did not visit Ducky Bhai immediately after his release. Areeb explained that he planned to meet the YouTuber only after bail was granted. He added that after consulting Ducky Bhai’s wife, Aroob Jatoi, he was advised to wait.
Areeb said the jail experience was overwhelming for Ducky Bhai, as it was his first time behind bars. “After going through such a painful environment, he needed solitude and time with his family rather than visits from friends,” he noted.
Iqra Kanwal confirmed that Ducky Bhai endured a difficult period in custody, and the impact on his mental health is significant. She emphasized that it is unrealistic to expect someone to return to YouTube “normally” after such trauma, as emotional recovery takes time.
She also stated that she has kept in touch with both Aroob Jatoi and Ducky Bhai but refrained from visiting due to his fragile mental state. Iqra added that Ducky Bhai’s wife confirmed he is currently distressed and not ready for social interactions. She requested fans and followers respect his need for privacy while he recovers.
According to Iqra, Ducky Bhai is “not fully functional yet” and requires peace, family comfort, and personal space to regain his mental well-being.
Ducky Bhai was granted bail earlier this month and released after being arrested in August by the Federal Cyber Crime Investigation Agency. His arrest was linked to allegations of promoting online gambling applications.
