Bollywood star Kareena Kapoor Khan is once again in the spotlight—this time due to a surprising claim made by Mufti Abdul Qavi. In a recent podcast, the cleric alleged that he was “once married” to the actress, a statement that immediately exploded across social media, leaving users shocked and confused.
Mufti Abdul Qavi, already known for his controversial remarks and bold public appearances, claimed that he had a Nikkah with Kareena in the late 1990s. He added that marrying someone from another faith was “permissible” if they followed a divine book. But social media users were quick to highlight major contradictions. One pointed out that Kareena was born in 1980—making the cleric’s timeline impossible. Others openly mocked the claim, saying it was the kind of statement that previously pushed other clerics to distance themselves from Mufti Abdul Qavi.
