In a related notice, the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) reminded all telecom users to register their SIMs in their own names. The PTA emphasized that misuse of SIMs or mobile devices registered under another individualโs name is a violation of regulations.
Consumers are urged to use their SIMs responsibly, as registered users are solely accountable for all calls, messages, and data usage. The PTA warned that failure to comply with regulations could result in strict enforcement action.
This case demonstrates the importance of vigilance in mobile phone security and responsible use of telecommunications. Authorities encourage passengers to report thefts promptly and ensure all mobile connections are registered correctly.
