In a bid to curb the snatching of mobile phones across the province, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police have introduced a mobile application named “Find My Cell.”
The Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Ashfaq Anwar, DIG IT Irfan Khan, and SSP Operations Kashif Aftab Abbasi launched the mobile app at the Malik Saad Shaheed Police Lines.

Providing insights into the app, the CCPO explained that it would establish a connection between local police stations and registered mobile dealers, discouraging the sale of stolen mobile phones. He elaborated that mobile dealers would undergo registration after verification from relevant police stations and associations.
According to an official, registered dealers will maintain a record of individuals selling phones to them, using a form provided by the police department. This information will then be uploaded to a database accessible through the Find My Cell app.
The CCPO emphasized the use of technology to combat phone snatching and theft, highlighting the police force’s commitment to employing various measures to enhance the law and order situation in the province.
