Balochistan Starts Pink Bus Service Aimed at Women and Students

Balochistan government has officially launched a new transport facility aimed at supporting women and female students. Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti inaugurated the initiative in Quetta, calling it an important step toward safer and more respectful travel.

In a message shared on social media platform X, the chief minister said the main purpose of the ** Pink Bus Service ** is to provide secure and dignified daily transport. He said women and students often face difficulties while commuting. This service aims to reduce those challenges.

Bugti stressed that the provincial government plans to run the ** Pink Bus Service ** on a permanent basis. He added that sustainability is a key focus of the project. Authorities want to ensure the buses remain available for the long term.

The chief minister also announced future expansion plans. He said the service will be extended to other districts in the next phase. This expansion will help women access education, jobs, and healthcare more easily across the province.

Last month, Bugti stated that his government is actively working to improve public facilities. He said special attention is being given to women. According to him, equal opportunities should be available in all fields, including education and employment.

During his remarks, the chief minister also addressed social challenges. He issued a strong warning to what he described as extremist elements. He said such groups try to mislead Baloch women and push them toward harmful paths.

“These initiatives send a clear message,” Bugti said. He explained that the government wants women to focus on education and personal growth. He criticized those who, in his view, encourage violence instead of development.

Bugti said Baloch women deserve better opportunities. He added that the government is committed to opening doors to top universities for them. Education, he said, is the only path toward progress and stability.

He also stated that conflict and violence have not benefited the Baloch people. According to him, the reality of this situation will become clearer in the coming years. He expressed hope that positive steps like the ** Pink Bus Service ** would change mindsets.

Officials believe the new transport system will encourage more women to travel independently. It may also increase school and college attendance among female students. Safe transport remains a major concern in many areas of the province.
