NADRA launches new digital services to simplify vehicle buying and selling in Pakistan. The National Database and Registration Authority has introduced new features in the latest version of the Pak ID mobile application, making vehicle verification and transfer more secure and convenient.
The new services are available through Pak ID version 5.6.8 and have been introduced in collaboration with the Government of Balochistan. The update includes digital vehicle cards and biometric verification for the transfer of vehicles registered in Balochistan.
The latest initiative is part of NADRA’s ongoing efforts to expand digital public services and improve identity verification across different sectors.
According to an official statement, NADRA launches these new features to help citizens complete vehicle-related processes without visiting government offices. Users can now access important services directly from their homes through the Pak ID mobile application.
The authority said the digital vehicle card will allow owners of Balochistan-registered vehicles to securely access their vehicle information through the app. This digital solution is expected to reduce paperwork while improving convenience for vehicle owners.
Another important feature introduced in the update is biometric verification for vehicle buying and selling. The new verification system is designed to make ownership transfers more secure by confirming the identity of buyers and sellers during transactions.
Officials believe the new digital verification process will improve transparency and reduce the risk of fraud in vehicle transfers.
NADRA has been expanding its digital services beyond identity document issuance. The authority now provides identity verification solutions for sectors where secure authentication is essential, including vehicle registration and ownership transfers.
The latest update reflects the organization’s broader digital transformation strategy to make government services easier to access while maintaining high security standards.
NADRA launches these services in partnership with the Government of Balochistan as part of efforts to modernize public service delivery through technology. The authority expects the new features to simplify procedures for thousands of vehicle owners across the province.
Citizens can now complete vehicle verification and transfer processes using their smartphones, reducing the need for physical visits and lengthy paperwork.
Earlier, NADRA also introduced self-service kiosks at selected registration centers across Pakistan. These kiosks allow citizens to access several identity-related services independently.
Through these self-service facilities, overseas Pakistanis can renew their National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP) without requiring assistance from staff.
The kiosks also allow users to request replacement NICOPs if their cards are lost, damaged, or need to be reissued.
In addition, family members can use the kiosks to complete the cancellation process for the NICOP of a deceased relative. This service is designed to simplify administrative procedures while reducing waiting times at NADRA centers.
Currently, the self-service kiosks are available at selected NADRA offices. The authority may expand the service to additional locations in the future as part of its digital service improvement plans.
The latest Pak ID update highlights NADRA’s continued focus on providing secure, technology-based public services. By introducing digital vehicle cards and biometric verification, the authority aims to make vehicle ownership transfers faster, safer, and more efficient for citizens in Balochistan.
