Karachi witnessed a tragic incident on Monday when a man was murdered during an argument with his in-laws in the Sachal area. Police said the prime suspect fled the scene with his sons after the attack.
According to officials, the killing took place near huts close to Jamali Bridge on the Super Highway. A heated quarrel between the victim and his father-in-law escalated into violence. The father-in-law, aided by his sons, attacked the victim with sticks.
Rescue teams from the Chhipa Welfare Association reached the location after receiving information about the incident. The victimโs body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal procedures.
The deceased was identified as Ram Ji, 32, son of Sachu. Sachal SHO Shabbir Hussain confirmed the incident and said preliminary investigations indicate a family feud. He added that the altercation began as a personal disagreement between Ram Ji and his father-in-law.
โThe father-in-law, with the help of his sons, attacked Ram Ji using sticks, which caused his death,โ the SHO explained. Police said the suspects managed to escape immediately after the attack. Efforts to trace them are ongoing.
Officials emphasized that family disputes are becoming a growing concern in Karachi. They urged residents to report conflicts early to prevent violent incidents. Authorities are investigating the case and questioning nearby residents for additional details.
