Two-year-old Jude Owens from Manchester is making headlines worldwide by setting multiple world records in snooker. The toddlerโs remarkable skills have stunned both fans and professional players.
On January 27, Guinness World Records confirmed that Jude Owens, at just 2 years and 261 days old, became the youngest person to achieve a snooker double pot. A double pot is when two balls are pocketed in separate holes with a single cue strike โ a feat even adults find challenging.
Jude didnโt stop there. At 2 years and 302 days, he also became the youngest player to execute a pool bank shot. This involves hitting the cue ball off one or more rails before potting a ball, requiring precise control and focus.
Luke Owens, Judeโs father, told Guinness World Records that his sonโs talent was visible from his first strike. Playing on full-size adult tables was difficult, so the family found creative solutions. โWe used bar stools from around the house,โ Luke said. โEventually, we found a cooking stool that became perfect for Judeโs snooker shots.โ
Despite his young age, Jude is confident. When asked who would win a match against his father โ who started playing at age 10 โ Jude replied, โMe!โ Luke added that Jude hasnโt beaten him yet, but it could happen in the coming years.
In addition to breaking world records, Jude has become the youngest-known snooker sponsor recipient. He also made a special walk-out appearance at the 2025 UK Snooker Championship, impressing the audience with his talent.
Jude has already met professional snooker stars such as Jimmy White, John Parrot, and Kyren Wilson. They praised his skills and potential, describing him as a rising star in the sport.
Experts say Jude Owensโ achievements highlight the increasing visibility of young talent in competitive sports. His creativity, confidence, and dedication at such a young age have earned him international recognition.
