In Quetta, Field Marshal Reviews Anti-Terror Operations And Meets With Wounded Personnel

Chief of Defence Forces, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, visited Quetta to assess the security situation and ongoing counterterrorism operations, the ISPR reported.

During the visit, Field Marshal Munir was briefed on recent operations that successfully thwarted planned attacks by militants, including those supported by foreign elements. The rapid response of security forces prevented assaults on civilians and protected key installations.

The briefing highlighted the ongoing challenges in Balochistan, which security forces continue to address through timely and coordinated action. Field Marshal Munir emphasized that the state’s writ remains strong. He reiterated that no terrorist or facilitator will escape justice.

“Violent extremism in any form cannot be justified,” he stated, directing that strict legal action be taken against perpetrators in line with the law. His comments underline the government’s commitment to law enforcement and public safety.

The Field Marshal commended officers and troops for their professionalism, dedication, and sacrifices during counterterrorism operations. He acknowledged their critical role in maintaining law and order while foiling anti-state plots.

Accompanied by the Chief Minister of Balochistan, Munir visited the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Quetta. There, he met with army, Frontier Corps, and police personnel injured during security operations. He lauded their courage and highlighted the importance of morale in sustaining effective counterterrorism operations.

Upon arrival, the Commander Quetta Corps formally received Field Marshal Munir. He conducted a detailed review of operational readiness and security measures across the region, emphasizing vigilance, coordination, and the protection of civilians.

The visit demonstrates the military’s commitment to countering terrorism while supporting development and stability in Balochistan. Field Marshal Munir’s engagement reflects the continued focus on strengthening security frameworks and ensuring the safety of the province’s residents.
