A Lahore court has formally framed charges against popular YouTuber Saadur Rehman, widely known as Ducky Bhai, in a case linked to the promotion of a gambling app. The hearing was presided over by Judicial Magistrate Naeem Watto, who also indicted Ducky Bhaiโs wife, Arooba Jatoi, along with other individuals present in court.
During the hearing, Ducky Bhai rejected the allegations. The court has scheduled the recording of witness statements for February 23. The case stems from August 17, when he was detained at Lahore Airport while attempting to travel abroad. Authorities alleged that Ducky Bhai was involved in money laundering through gambling applications.
Earlier, the Lahore High Court granted Ducky Bhai bail of Rs. 10 lakh, leading to his release on November 26. The case was registered by the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA), reflecting increasing scrutiny of social media influencers and their content.
Following his release, Ducky Bhai broke a 100-day silence and issued a public apology to the nation. He uploaded a video on his YouTube channel, clarifying that the content was not intended to justify the FIR filed against him. He expressed regret if his videos had a negative impact, stating his intention was always to entertain and innovate.
โI sincerely apologize to the entire nation if, knowingly or unknowingly, I promoted anything harmful,โ Ducky Bhai said in the video. He also emphasized that he is fully committed to cooperating with the court and will accept whatever decision the judge issues regarding his case.
In the video, Ducky Bhai also shared personal reflections on the past three and a half months. He described August 16, 2025, as a happy day spent with family and friends, preparing for an international event. The YouTuber expressed hope that he could continue creating content responsibly in the future.
