Islamabad, February 12, 2026 – Aleema Khan, sister of PTI founder Imran Khan, has issued a firm ultimatum over her brother’s worsening eye condition. Her statement follows a detailed report submitted by Barrister Salman Safdar regarding Imran Khan’s health.
Speaking to the media, Aleema Khan said, “Enough drama has taken place, we want justice.” She emphasized that her demand is solely for proper treatment of the PTI founder. She added that authorities failed to respond adequately to Imran Khan’s repeated complaints about his eyesight over the last three months.
Aleema Khan claimed that Jail Superintendent Abdul Ghafoor Anjum did not take the necessary steps to ensure timely medical care. She alleged that despite constant monitoring through 10 cameras, officials neglected the former prime minister’s health. “Some individuals were waiting for his eyesight to deteriorate,” she said. Aleema Khan thanked the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court for issuing an order for proper medical treatment before February 16.
Salman Safdar Report on Imran Khan
Barrister Salman Safdar, appointed as a ‘friend of the court’, submitted a seven-page report recommending an immediate examination of Imran Khan’s eyes. The report suggests that top ophthalmologists, including Dr. Faisal Sultan and Asim Yousuf, conduct the examination. Safdar also recommended providing books to the PTI leader due to solitary confinement and lack of access to television.
The report confirmed that Imran Khan has lost significant vision in his right eye, with only 10 to 15 percent remaining. “His eyesight was normal three to four months ago, but jail officials ignored repeated complaints,” the report read. The PTI founder’s treatment only began after his condition worsened severely.
Experts and PTI supporters have expressed concern over the delay in treatment, urging authorities to act immediately. Aleema Khan reiterated her ultimatum, stressing that no further drama should delay proper care for Imran Khan.
