Punjab Reveals Ramadan 2026 School Timings

School education authorities have announced new school hours for the holy month of Ramadan. The revised schedule ensures students can balance their studies with fasting.

According to the updated timings, schools will operate from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM from Monday to Thursday. On Fridays, schools will close early at 12:30 PM to accommodate the spiritual and social practices observed during Ramadan.

Teachers will also benefit from special arrangements. They will be given Saturdays off throughout Ramadan. Officials emphasized that these changes aim to support both students and staff during the month.

For schools running double shifts, the new timings have also been adjusted. Morning shifts will run from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM, while afternoon shifts will operate from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. On Fridays, afternoon shifts will be held from 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM.

Education authorities have asked students, parents, and staff to plan their routines accordingly. They highlighted that these arrangements will help everyone make the most of Ramadan while maintaining regular academic activities.

Officials said the revised schedule balances educational needs with religious observance. “Ramadan is a time for reflection and community. Schools are adjusting to ensure students and teachers can observe the month comfortably,” they added.

Parents are encouraged to guide their children through the changes and help them manage schoolwork alongside fasting. Students are advised to stay organized and make the best use of the shorter school hours during Ramadan.

These special arrangements are part of a broader effort to support learning and wellbeing during the holy month. Authorities hope the new timings will reduce stress, enhance focus, and ensure a smooth academic routine.
