WhatsApp Developing Native Message Scheduling Feature for iOS Users

WhatsApp Developing Native Message Scheduling Feature for iOS Users

KARACHI โ€“ WhatsApp is working on a new message scheduling feature, according to the latest iOS beta version 26.7.10.72 released via TestFlight. The feature is still under development and not yet available to the public.

Once launched, WhatsApp users will be able to compose a message and select a specific date and time for automatic delivery. This will help send reminders, greetings, or important updates without the risk of forgetting.

Scheduled messages will be easy to manage. WhatsApp will include a dedicated section in the chat info screen to display all pending messages. Users can delete or modify any scheduled message before it is sent, without alerting the recipient.

Currently, iOS users can only schedule WhatsApp messages using Apple Shortcuts automation. The native feature will provide a simpler and more convenient solution for daily communication.

The upcoming tool will work for both individual chats and group conversations. Users can schedule messages for specific contacts or coordinate announcements across multiple group chats.

Unlike WhatsApp Business Broadcasts, which require a paid subscription, this new scheduling feature will be free for all users. The company aims to make messaging more organized and time-efficient without extra costs.

Tech analysts say the feature aligns with WhatsAppโ€™s goal to enhance user experience and keep the platform competitive. With millions relying on WhatsApp for personal and professional communication, scheduling messages natively will be a significant improvement.

The rollout timeline is not yet confirmed, but beta testers will likely get early access before the feature becomes widely available. Users are encouraged to keep their app updated and follow WhatsApp announcements for the official release.
