PTI Founder Imran Khan to Receive Next Eye Injection on March 24

ISLAMABAD โ€“ Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Tariq Fazal Chaudhary has confirmed that the founder of PTI, Imran Khan, will receive his next eye injection on March 24. The treatment is part of his ongoing medical care for an eye condition.

In a statement shared on X, the minister said the PTI founder was shifted to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) on Tuesday night. The transfer was carried out under strict security arrangements. He underwent a second medical procedure related to his eye problem.

According to the minister, all legal and humanitarian requirements were fulfilled during the transfer from Adiala Jail to the hospital. He said the process was conducted in line with established rules and procedures.

Doctors at PIMS reported improvement in Imran Khanโ€™s vision after the latest procedure. Once the medical team cleared him, he was moved back to Adiala Jail. The minister stated that providing medical facilities to every prisoner is a constitutional obligation.

Earlier, the executive director of PIMS confirmed that the PTI founder was given a second dose of an anti-VEGF injection. The treatment followed a detailed examination by a board of specialist doctors. The medical board reviewed his condition before proceeding with the injection.

Imran Khanโ€™s eye issue, identified as right central retinal vein occlusion (CRVO), was first reported in late January. His first injection was administered on January 24. Since then, doctors have been monitoring his recovery closely.

Officials said that the next scheduled injection on March 24 will continue the treatment plan. Medical experts believe timely doses are important for managing this condition and preventing further complications.

The development has drawn attention from PTI supporters and political observers. However, government officials have stressed that all arrangements were handled transparently and according to the law.
