Is US Preparing for Nuclear Strike on Iran? Nevada Tremors Raise Questions

Is US Preparing for Nuclear Strike on Iran Nevada Tremors Raise Questions

WASHINGTON: A series of small earthquakes near a secret U.S. military base has sparked fresh debate. Some observers are asking if a possible nuclear strike is being prepared amid rising tensions with Iran.

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, about 16 moderate tremors were recorded near a classified site in Nevada. The base is often referred to as Area 52. It is located close to Area 51, which is widely known for conspiracy theories.

Reports said more than 100 seismic events were detected within 50 miles of the Tonopah Test Range. This facility has been used for weapons testing and military research for decades. The tremors measured between magnitude 1.0 and 3.0.

Experts have noted that underground nuclear tests usually produce stronger seismic signals. The Center for Arms Control and Non-Proliferation states that such tests often range from magnitude 4.0 to over 6.0. The strength depends on the size and depth of the device.

So far, there is no official confirmation linking the tremors to a nuclear strike test. However, the timing has drawn attention. The United States is currently involved in military operations against Iran. The campaign has been named Operation Epic Fury in reports.

U.S. President Donald Trump recently warned Iran of what he called “the biggest wave” still to come. His statement has increased fears of further escalation. Some analysts believe the situation could raise concerns about a potential nuclear strike, although no evidence supports such claims at this time.

The development also follows the expiration of the New START treaty between the United States and Russia. The agreement had limited the number of deployed nuclear warheads for both countries. Its end has added to global security concerns.

Despite the speculation, experts urge caution. Small earthquakes are common in Nevada. There is no verified proof that the tremors are linked to weapons testing or a nuclear strike plan.

Authorities have not announced any unusual activity at the base. For now, the situation remains under observation as tensions in the region continue.
