KARACHI – Popular model and actor Omer Shahzad recently shared details about how he met his wife, Shanzay Lodhi, before their marriage. The couple appeared on the Ramadan transmission Shan-e-Sahoor, discussing their early interactions.
During the interview, Omer Shahzad revealed that Shanzay had a few favorite songs and asked him to sing for her. Lodhi added that their initial conversations were awkward, but they continued talking despite not spending much time together before the wedding. She said, “Hum baat karte the, lekin ziada nahi, shaadi se pehle bhi zyada time nahi spend kiya.”
Shanzay also mentioned that her mother had been cautious about her dating someone from the entertainment industry. She said, “Meri mama shuru se bolti thein ke Shanzay, industry ka larka hai, dekh lo.” Shahzad explained that her mother had watched some of his interviews and done proper research before approving their meeting. Lodhi added, “Unhune poori research ki aur phir bola larka acha hai, batein achi hain.”
Reflecting on their journey, Omer Shahzad emphasized the role of fate and faith in bringing them together. He said, “Ye sab jo batein hum bata rahe hain, sab aise hi hai. Allah Ta’Allah kaise silsila banate hain, socha bhi nahi tha ke aisa hoga.” He encouraged couples to leave matters to Allah and focus on sincere intentions rather than overthinking.
