Pakistani telecom users are facing growing concerns as reports of No 5G access continue to surface. Many customers say they cannot use 5G services on iPhones while using Jazz network.
Over the past few days, social media platforms have seen a rise in complaints. iPhone users claim they are experiencing No 5G connectivity even in areas where Jazz is testing the service. Some users have also reported weak LTE signals and slow internet speeds.
One user in Karachi shared his experience online. He said he was near a major Jazz Experience Center but still faced poor signal strength. He questioned how 5G could work if LTE remains unstable.
The issue appears to mainly affect devices from Apple Inc.. Many users believe that No 5G on iPhones could be linked to technical or business requirements. Some reports suggest telecom companies may need special approvals to enable 5G on Apple devices.
There are also unverified claims about possible fees for activation. Some online discussions mention a cost of up to $20 million for enabling 5G on iPhones. However, neither Jazz nor Apple has confirmed these claims.
The problem is not limited to Apple users alone. Customers using devices from Samsung have also reported similar issues. Several Samsung users say they cannot access 5G despite having compatible smartphones.
Currently, only a few brands seem to support Jazz’s limited 5G network. These include Vivo, Oppo, Realme, Xiaomi, Tecno, Infinix, and ZTE. Even then, access depends on the device model and location.
Experts believe the issue may be due to technical challenges. These include device compatibility, spectrum limitations, and network settings. They say such problems are common during early testing phases.
Pakistan’s 5G rollout is still in its early stage. Telecom companies are conducting pilot tests before full launch. During this phase, issues like No 5G access across devices are expected.
However, the lack of clear communication has caused frustration among users. Many people rely on mobile internet for daily tasks. They are now demanding clear timelines and better service quality.
Some users have even considered switching networks if the situation does not improve. As testing continues, users hope for better performance and official updates from Jazz.
