The University of Sindh has officially announced Summer Vacations for all its academic departments, institutes, centers, and campuses. The break will start from June 1 and continue until July 31.
According to the official notification issued by the Registrarโs Office, academic activities will remain suspended during this period. Classes will resume on August 3 after the end of the break.
The announcement confirms that Summer Vacations will apply across all teaching units of the university. This includes both main and sub-campuses operating under the institution.
Despite the break, certain administrative duties will continue. Directors and chairpersons of departments have been instructed to attend offices twice a week. They will be required to appear on Mondays and Tuesdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
University officials stated that pro-vice chancellors, deans, and administrative officers will continue their regular duties. Supporting staff will also remain on duty throughout the vacation period.
The supporting staff includes clerks, superintendents, computer operators, laboratory assistants, programmers, security personnel, and peons. Their presence will ensure smooth administrative operations during the break.
Faculty members have also been given important instructions. They must submit semester examination results to their respective departments before June 1. This step has been made mandatory before the start of Summer Vacations.
The university management said the schedule is designed to ensure academic continuity and administrative efficiency. Even during Summer Vacations, essential tasks will not be interrupted.
Students are expected to resume academic activities on August 3 when classes restart across all departments. The university has advised students to use the break for rest and preparation for upcoming academic sessions.
Officials added that such vacation schedules are part of the academic calendar. They help balance teaching workloads and provide students with a planned break.
