Lahore Police Arrest Two Suspects in Assault Case, Investigation Underway

In Lahore, police have arrested two suspects in connection with the assault of a 19-year-old woman. The incident took place in the Kahna area of Lahore and has raised serious concerns about public safety.

According to police officials, the victim had left her home to buy groceries. During this time, she was allegedly approached by the main suspect. He reportedly lured her to Dhuloki village on the outskirts of Lahore.

Police said the suspect, along with an accomplice, took the woman to a house in the village. There, she was allegedly subjected to a violent assault. After the incident, the suspects left her in critical condition outside the main accused’s residence.

The suspects then fled the scene. However, the victim managed to report the crime. Based on her statement, police registered a case and launched an investigation.

Authorities later identified the accused as Faryad and Nasir. Both individuals have now been taken into custody. Police confirmed that further investigation is ongoing.

The case has been handed over to the Gender Crime Cell. This specialized unit handles crimes involving women and ensures proper legal procedures. Officials said the team will collect evidence and record statements to strengthen the case.

The Station House Officer (SHO) of Kahna also issued a statement. He said strict action will be taken against those involved. He added that crimes against women will not be tolerated in Lahore.

Police further stated that they are working to ensure justice for the victim. They also urged citizens to report any suspicious activity immediately.

This incident has once again highlighted the need for better safety measures in Lahore. Authorities have stressed the importance of awareness and quick reporting in such cases.
