Bride Killed at Salon in Lodhran on Wedding Day, Cousin Arrested

LODHRAN โ€“ A shocking incident has emerged from Lodhran, where a Bride killed case has left the community in grief. The tragic event took place at a local beauty salon on the brideโ€™s wedding day.

According to police reports, the young woman had gone to the salon to get ready for her wedding maraism. Her groom and family were waiting for her arrival at the venue. However, the day turned tragic when her cousin entered the salon and attacked her.

Officials confirmed that the Bride killed incident was carried out by her cousin, who reportedly wanted to marry her. He became violent after learning that she was getting married to someone else. The suspect allegedly attacked her during her bridal preparations, causing fatal injuries.

Police further stated that after committing the crime, the suspect attempted to harm himself. He was taken into custody and shifted to a hospital for medical treatment. Authorities are continuing their investigation into the case.

The incident has raised concerns about rising violence linked to forced or rejected marriage proposals. Locals described the as deeply disturbing, especially because it occurred on what should have been a joyful day.

In a separate but similar case earlier this month, a 25-year-old doctor named Anila was shot dead on the Hazara Motorway. Police said she had refused a marriage proposal from a married man. The suspect, identified as Shehzad, allegedly opened fire inside a car while she was traveling from Islamabad to Abbottabad.

Anila died at the scene, while her mother, who was also in the vehicle, remained unharmed. The attacker later tried to take his own life and was shifted to Ayub Medical Complex in critical condition.

Both cases highlight a troubling pattern of violence following rejected marriage proposals. Authorities have urged the public to report threats and seek help in such situations. Investigations in both incidents are ongoing, and legal action is expected against the suspects.
