Hajj 2026 Begins as First Pilgrims Depart from Karachi Airport


KARACHI โ€“ The Hajj 2026 operation has officially started as pilgrims began arriving at the airport late Saturday night. Authorities confirmed that all preparations are in place to ensure a smooth departure process.

The first flight for Hajj 2026 is scheduled to depart at 3:00 AM. It will be operated by a private airline. Immigration procedures for pilgrims have already begun at the airport.

Officials from multiple departments are present to assist travelers. These include the Airport Authority, Ministry of Religious Affairs, Federal Investigation Agency, and customs officials.

According to the Ministry of Religious Affairs, around 31,000 pilgrims will depart from Quaid-e-Azam International Airport this year. Special arrangements have been completed to support them during the journey.

The Governor of Sindh is also expected to attend the departure ceremony. He will see off the first group of pilgrims for Hajj 2026.

Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia has also finalized its preparations for the pilgrimage season. The General Directorate of Passports has started reception services for incoming pilgrims.

Flights from Pakistan, Indonesia, and other countries are set to arrive in Saudi Arabia. Officials have confirmed that all entry points are ready. These include airports, land crossings, and seaports.

Saudi authorities have introduced modern digital systems to improve the process. These systems aim to reduce waiting times at immigration counters. Pilgrims will experience faster and more organized entry procedures.

Specially trained staff will be available around the clock to assist pilgrims. They will provide guidance and support at all stages of arrival.

Officials in Saudi Arabia emphasized that the entire Hajj 2026 operation will run smoothly. They credited strong coordination among different departments for these preparations.
